Well I have been practicing with my taekwondo team for the past 2 weeks and it has been very busy. All the practicing we did was for today ...which totally failed.

There was 9 routines that we go through:
I will put a * if I am part of that routine

1.Basic Fundamentals *
2. Basic Kicks
3. Jumping front kick
4. Power 360 *
5. Open Poomsae
6.Combo kick
7. V kick and roll *
8. Self Defense
9. Finale *

So I started off the day at 7:20 and went to the other dorms to wake up people to get ready. We had to meet near the library around 8:45 and set up a table just in case if people want to sign up for taekwondo club when we were doing the performance.

We got to perform at 12:40 pm and so till that time, we just sat around the table and chill for a bit. Like 30 minutes before the demo, we ran through the routine one more time, and then we were off. I have to admit, it was pretty intense lol.

We walked in and bowed to the audience who was eagerly waiting to see our performance. Right after we bow, we head straight to the first routine on the list, Basic Fundamentals, where we did forms or a series of moves that is all synchronized. But it turns outs that our coach...blanked out for like a few sec and threw some of us off. But overall, it went well.

I got to sit out for the next two. Basic Kicks is where 4 people is demonstrating  4 different kick styles: Sidekick, round house, front kick, and hook kick. Each one of them have to break a board but the one who was doing the hook kick kinda miss the first time so he got a second chance to do it but it looked a bit sloppy when he broke it.

So next was jumping front kick and two people did this one. They run and jump kick the board which was held by a person standing on top of a chair. It was a flawless run.

Next was Power 360. The coach have to punch a board, then round house, then 2 fast successive kicks, then a hook kick and then a 360 kick with each move breaking a board. I had to hold the boards for the hook kick. At this routine is where it all started to go bad. As she went down the line, she punched the board and broke it, then preceded with a round house (not bad so far), then the two kicks....the holder kinda failed at holding one of the board so when she kicked it, it flew out of his hand. When she saw that she was like omg...and didnt really prepared for the hook kick. She hit the board but did not hit it hard enough to break it, but the show must go on...she finished the rest off with a 360 kick which involves destroying 6 boards. It was successful and we got a huge positive feedback from the crowd.  But still...my board didnt break.

Next was Open Poomsae. It was another form and it was a more advanced one for the higher belts, so all the white belts was out of this one. lol some people said..omg that so look awesome! so it must have turned out great xD

Next was combo kick. There is one guy with 4 boards. He needed to break all of those boards with one jump. He broke only 3 of the 4, but the person who was holding the 4th board hid it so it looked like he broke all 4 of them lol.

Then it was V kick and roll. Two stunts were being performed for this one. One guy have to jump over a person and break a board while in the air. The other guy have to jump and do a v kick in other words, kick with both of his feet forming a V. In order to do a v kick, one guy had to jump on top of another guy and hold a board (I was one of those guys who jumped and there was 2, one set for each leg.) The jumping and hitting the board went successfully but the v kick..not so much. The first attempt he didnt touch the boards. On the second he broke one...mines was left untouched because he miss the board and instead hit my hand lol.

Next was self defense where 4 people role played that they are being 2 guys are being attacked and 2 played defense. Pretty intense stuff. Next was the finale.

For this routine, me and another dude grab onto each other and one guy had to step onto our shoulders and we lift him up in the air. When he got on, he stood on my spine...it hurts...lol but we cant stop the demo now just to move his feet so lift him up. It hurts a lot lol... the guy who stood on top of me have to hold a board while another guy, who was going to kick the board, ran and got boosted up in the air and kick the board. Oh before he ran, my coach was at the front of the stage and have to karate chop 6 bricks but only broke 5. She was pissed after the demo lol.

After the guy kick the board, we all stood in one line and bow to the crowd...they were amazed and looks like we gave them an amazing performance. Even though they did not see all the mistakes, we knew who screwed up and going to get punished later...and by later I mean tomorrow. I think I made a mistake.. but im not sure so Im like...oh oh..dont want to go to practice tmr...lol.

Wellll...that was the demonstration. After the demo, we all huddled and we were all dissappointed on how many mistakes there was. I only named a few and I knew there was more but I didnt catch it or see it. At the same time, it was a relief that the demo was over lol. After the demo we headed down to the coach house and had some food. Yup that was my day and I plan to spend the rest of my day in a bed. Yup laterz lol
